What the Living Memory system does
How Torch Labs describes a living knowledge system without exposing private interviews or proprietary source material.
A maintained knowledge map
Living Memory is Torch Labs’ development direction for organizing practical knowledge by trade, topic, source, contributor, and review status. It is designed to show both what is known and where evidence is incomplete.
Private by default
A private interview, employer document, site record, or contributed source does not become public content merely because it can improve an internal knowledge workflow. Publication requires separate ownership, consent, sensitivity, technical, and editorial checks.
Knowledge can change
Records need dates, provenance, review states, correction paths, and the ability to be withdrawn. A living system is maintained rather than treated as a permanent dump of generated answers.
